She takes great pride in her rolls as member of South Sabha Mahila Mandal & Jito Ladies Wing, both organisations that fulfil her commitment towards the betterment of our society. She is also associated with many charitable organisations like Bharat Seva Sangh, Alliance club and many more. She is also a member of the Cosmopolitan Club.

Kanak ji has also tried out her hand as a businesswoman & had owned a boutique 5 years back, on her own name, that specialised in ethnic bridal wear. She loves to pursuit her hobbies of dancing & singing.

She is married to Vinod Kr Chopra, who is the founder of MS Marketing. They are the importer of Agarbatti and Distributor of Gopaljardha in west Bengal. They are happy parents to Harsh & Himadri Chopra. Harsh has joined his family business after completion his graduation & Himadri, a qualified fashion designer is married & settled in London.
